Vichai Cool did a great run last Monday. He set
out as usual taking us into the park with the huge reservoir. Off
everybody went down the side. It's a long way around that little
lake. A couple of us ran the other way – thinking we'd meet up
again somewhere. We didn't --------- We did meet Captain and
Crash. When we got back to the beer truck Piya was trying to dry
Vichai's phone which had gone for a swim. She had been attacked by
a tiger somewhere while doing the run. Tough day for the
hares!!!!!!!! First runners were back in about 45 minutes.
They all said it was great. We moved all the beer, soda and great
snacks into the tree lined clearing. Joylide made one of her
classic bonfires to scare off the mossies. . Knife wielding Kim
Normal threatened people who got in her way as she prepared even
more snacks – to go with the greatr cheeses, bread, biscuits, etc we
enjoyed.
GM Lem eventually called the circle and later
Noriega and AKM handed out some abuse. Prick of the Week was won
(easily) by Suna or Later. She had been biking with AKM in Laos so
he had tales of her trying to change large foreign notes in small
coffee shops in Laos. An interesting contraption was used as a
substitute Prick. Where is the monster priek hiding (or perhaps in
use)???
After social drinking we headed for Tim Daly's
restaurant for the On On On and Lying King's birthday. Great time
– great food – good birthday cake. Why do I always have to get up
at 5:15 in the morning????????? Thanks to all who made it a great

On Monday 8 January we had 21 Harriers, 15 Harriettes, 0
new boots and 3 visitors, total = 39. Returners included Marco & Sooner
Foltran, Lynda & Neil, Brent "Turkish Delight" Trela, Tim "Crash" Daly and
Tim "Joylide" Wienands.
