The hare's trail shown from Google Earth does not do the dastardliness of the hare justice. What you can't see are where he used one or two trail marks to take runners down the wrong trail at just about every fork or three way junction. The trail was beautifully laid, with just enough paper to keep you on trail, and lack of paper to confuse us all at times. Ajarn Kee Mao and Tastes Great were found in the middle of the run going round and round in circles. 99% of the run was in the detailed gardens of Nonthaburi and it was very hard to know where you were. At one stage, a particularly nasty loop of several hundred metres could have been shortcut by carrying along a small road about 20 metres! The trail was about 8+k and most people got in before dark.

Visaka Bucha day means a nationwide alcohol free zone and that includes the beer wholesalers. So the mix of piss consisted of about 50% Singha. People did not choose the Singha (with the exception of the visitors) but we drank the stuff for down downs, and the hash piss team decanted a couple of litres into green Heineken bottles – and nobody noticed (as usual).

The snacks were full on with a portable camping gas stove heating up goodies that kept our bellies full and taste buds tingling. Move over those who advocate “crisps and peanuts” as the post run snacks of choice.

The alpha males lead by Barbie were busy back slapping each other, comparing notes of the run and eyeing each other up, as they are all of course closet gays, acting like macho men. Visitors from San Francisco were wondering why Bangkok hashers spent more time drinking than running. Were those bottles of water spring or purified? Who cares after sucking up that lovely Bangkok diesel filled air.The OnOnOn at Deli Home did not have Karaoke (the machine was broken, to Jumpstart's disgust). The food scored C+ in comparison to some of the other restaurants nearby, maybe it was an off day. Thanks Lem. Good hash.
