Run:- 1314                   Date:- 26 May 2008.
Location:- Unfinished Bridge Homestay
Hare:- Phoney Sex
Scribe:- AKM?

Sunee (AKA Maew, AKA Phoney Sex) along with Piya (AKA…does she even have a hash name?) were down to be the hares for last Monday’s BMH3 run at the Homestay restaurant off the Ring Road (AKA Noah’s runsite, AKA a place that doesn’t even have chairs, AKA a place that probably has one good run a year in it but gets used more than that by the less imaginative). Expectations among the cognoscenti were, therefore, not high. The appearance of Cap’n Erik in the role of third hare and/or trail advisor elicited mixed opinions about whether this would improve matters. These opinions later coalesced.

The run took some 17 minutes for the front runners. The absence of the hares at the start point when we returned offered no clue as to why this might have been, although some opinions were offered based on the abilities, sex, and IQ of the hares. Some of the keener among us, including Bad Boy Bubby, Noriega, Pussy Virus, Barbie, Dunkin Donut, and myself set out in search of some trail (i.e., the greater part of it) that we might have missed. A half- hour’s searching produced the sight of a few strands of paper and a late-arriving George of the Jungle. Most of us then chose to do our own run, with Bad Boy, Noriega, and I arriving back in time for the circle after about an hour and a half.

The beer ran out during the circle, largely because of the excess consumption by those for whom a 20-minute run was enough. Cap’n Erik proclaimed his innocence, which he has apparently been doing ever since, on the grounds that it is impossible to speak sense to one woman, much less two.

Sunee subsidized the on-on, winning herself plaudits from those whose goodwill can be bought for 200-baht’s worth of ground-up meat and a piece of cake. Noriega, Stefan, Toddzilla and I ventured downtown afterwards and enjoyed ourselves, as, in fact, we had during our dinner conversations. Proof perhaps, that one doesn’t need a good hash run to have good time.
