Scribe:- 4x2It was the usual Monday routine of speaking to next week's hare to get a write up, but then I remembered that Thailand was six hours ahead of the UK and that not only had the run started, but the OnOnOn was in full swing. It was 1800 on the National Express Bus 201 service from Chepstow to London Heathrow Airport.
Thanks to the excellent (but very expensive to use) GSM Global Roaming technology, I used my mobile 'phone to call my wife to find how things were going. It was midnight on Soi 26, and the usual crowd of late night drinkers and free ononon liggers* were there. The muffled sound of George Morgan's drumbeat could be heard in the background. After the usual love you, miss you's, she put AKM onto the 'phone for a run report.
The run was crap. Mudguard got a 100 run mug and NoNo got his 200. Todd was ejaculating in his trousers because Bruce Bunnie Miller an old BMH3 GM was in town. Plenty of free food and beer and wine, so we are all here enjoying it.
How was the band? I asked.
Didn't listen, stayed outside.
And that was pretty much it. A well attended event, everyone I spoke to later enjoyed it. OnOn.
* Ligger - A freeloader or hanger-on, especially in the music industry.
