Misdirections to a restaurant near Tha It
Take the second stage expressway towards Chaeng Wattana. After the 10 baht toll plaza take the Ngam Wong Wan exit and turn left towards Khae Rai. Go over Khae Rai flyover into Tanon Rattana Tibet.
About 6km from the expressway go straight across at the traffic lights and cross over the Chao Phraya River at the Nang Klao bridge (The Hash bridge).
About 2km from the bridge you will reach a flyover complex (Pad Thai junction?) where you need to make a U-turn. If there is a signpost to Pakkret it might take you in the right direction. If you negotiated the flyover complex correctly you should now be heading back along Rattana Tibet Road. If you are of a nervous disposition ignore the flyover, and just after the next traffic lights keep left and do a U-turn under the klong bridge. This route is not recommended for people with bicycles on the top of their car.
About 200m after making the U-turn using the flyover complex turn left where the traffic lights used to be. About 200m after the turn look for a Thai restaurant on the right with a large car park. Park in the car park.
By Skytrain or Subway:-
Get the train to Morchit. Go down to the street on the same side as the platform (beside Chatuchak park). Get a taxi heading out of town. After 1km at a big intersection the taxi should turn left onto Viphavadee Rangsit Road. After a further 4km turn left into Ngam Wong Wan Road. This road leads to Kae Rai, from where you can follow the directions shown above.
