Misdirections to Wat Cherng Lane
Take the second stage expressway towards Chaeng Wattana. After the 10 baht toll plaza take the Ngam Wong Wan exit and turn left towards Khae Rai. Get in the outside lanes and go over the Khae Rai flyover into Tanon Rattana Tibet.
About 6km from the expressway go straight across at the traffic lights and cross over the Chao Phraya River at the Nang Klao bridge (The Hash bridge).
About 3km after the river you will reach a flyover complex. Follow the signs to make a U-turn, and head back towards town for a few hundred metres. Then turn left down a busy soi. Zero your odometer (or note the kilometre reading on the meter if you are in a taxi).
At 1.0km follow the concrete road round to the right. Go past the bus terminal on your right. At 2.7km, at a small cross roads turn right into a fairly narrow concrete road. If you go straight on instead of turning right you end up at Wat Sang Siritang.
At 3.3km fork left. 3.7km turn left. 5.0km turn left. 6.0km park on open ground on right, next to river and Wat Cherng Lane.
Get the train to Morchit. Go down to the street on the same side as the platform (beside Chatuchak park). Get a taxi heading out of town. After 1km at a big intersection the taxi should turn left onto Viphavadee Rangsit Road. After a further 4km turn left into Ngam Wong Wan Road. This road leads to Kae Rai, from where you can follow the directions shown above.
