Welcome to a new year under the leadership of "Always Comes Last", the second non-male GM in the 40 year history of the Bangkok Monday Hash. Welcome also, to what must be the new "Hash House"; Gung Pao On Nuch Seafood Restaurant where we seem to have runs from on a monthly basis. Gone are the treks out to the orchards of Nonthaburi, now developed into clusters of tract homes; welcome to East Bangkok, the new virgin area for BMH3.

The trail led us from On Nuch Road down Klong Klet. The hare advised us to stay on the right side of the klong. As I was making my way down the klong, minding my own business I heard a whisper in my ear "you know this area really well, can you do the write up"? What does knowing an area well have to do with the write up? Nothing of course, but at this stage, let me fill you in with a little background to the area. On Nut is a khwaeng (subdistrict) of Suan Luang District. It was created in 2017, split off from Suan Luang Subdistrict along with Phatthanakan Subdistrict. Fascinating eh?

The pack ran out of the On Nuch sub-district into the Bang Chak subdistrict of Pra Khanong and across some alleged virgin area onto Klong Ban Lai, Klong Prakanong and back into the Hash House. So that’s my knowledge of the area and what happened to the pack. My journey was different, and I followed the trail of two weeks ago and performed almost a perfect square back to the beer.

The GM’s first circle was excellent, she took full control with no nonsense authority. 4x2, the new RA’s Ass, stood in for KC who was in Cambodia at the Mekong Australian Outstation Hash. Ex GM Codpiece got the POTW, what a surprise.

The OnOnOn created some confusion with the cost of 180 Baht per head raising 700 Baht more than expected. Todd was eager to use the excess funds to add to the non-existent Hash Cash Kitty but was trumped by the Hare who ordered more beer.
