Location:- Nonthaburi, Takeing Keing Nam
Hares:- Tickler and Joylide

On Sec got my attention early doors under the bridge when he sidled up to me and said he liked my newly acquired vehicle. He has a similar model. This was all a subterfuge of course, because he then told me that I had not yet done a write up. Shit - I had fallen for his mellifluous words. However, at the start I noticed the GM with Hoka Pink shoes and me having bought a pair of Hoka Blue shoes recently in the US I knew I was in good company.

Feeling good with my ‘newish’ shoes in the cool windy conditions courtesy of the latest low pressure over Thailand and reflecting on massive temperatures throughout the rest of the world, I was the first to start jogging. Soon of course to be overtaken by most, but very happy to be back in an old area of Hashing. It does seem though that Mubaans and their high walls have subsumed most of the previously green area.

Given these building restrictions, Tickler and Tim set a good trail through these old areas, not easy to do. Going around Wat Khae Nai brought back a lot of fond memories. Yes, the dogs are still there but they are a younger generation who don’t remember us from years ago! At the Wat the trail went left for the long 8km trail and right for the 5km trail. Bob said he was going for the long one, and after very little thought I decided to go for the 5km option. On the shorter trail a motorcycle man (Khai Nai No 12 on his vest) reported in to HQ that an elderly American man with an East Coast accent used him for a ride back to the start. Could he have his taxi

Apparently on the longer trail there was an adjacent bush path, rather thick, which only some went through – I believe Sven, Ed, Hand Cream, COD and Su took this option, while others (no names no pack drill of course) went along the parallel road. But on the short trail on to which the long trail looped back to, I found that the land on either side of the well-used Hash path had been hemmed in by walls. At least the path is still there which gets you out to Bang Kruay soi 51 and eventually to Ratchapreuk and home.

At the circle Tinker expressed his disappointment in the lack of beer stops (lots of opportunities he said and indeed he should know, he who has the impressive skills being able to sniff out a bottle shop at 100 metres). Bullitt and NGB exchanged weight losses and gains during their respective trip to UK and Colorado the GM got her phonetic shift wrong calling No good Boyo ‘No good Boil’. ‘Hand Cream’ got the POTW as apparently, he normally does!

At the on on, wine, beer and a little music, thankfully in the background, from the two forlorn stage singers. We were given pork knuckle of course and a whole array of other tasty items (two of which I brought home with me – I think they are called ‘Pu Jor’). Some interesting and lively conversation particularly about the chances of cheese and toast when dropped to the ground, falling on the cheese side – and if so, do you use the 5 second rule and eat it? Would Hags and Maew survive the annual Chiang Mai pollution and to climate warming which if you are in Iowa, is a massive Liberal plot. My friends who are on holiday in Greece sent me an email postcard which said ‘’Wish I wasn’t here’’. So, this is the place to be, on the Hash in Bangkok. Thanks to Tickler and Tim for a super evening. On On.
