Miss Universe Thailand 2020 Runs with BMH3. (Hashers more used to the Miss Tiffany girls!)

Our hare, Noah 4x2 had arranged something special for us, a B to A run. Those not driving their own vehicles were told to meet at the B site where we would start the run. Some walked 2km from Onnut BTS, Carl rode his own motorcycle, Bengt rode his bicycle, Tinker took a motosai, and Tickler had Yote his driver drop him off.

Then at 5:15pm a cattle truck with a dozen Hashers from the A-site arrived and there was a quick briefing by the hare with two running trail options (6 or 7km) and two walking trail options (4 or 5km). About half the pack opted for the walk options and remained on the truck to be driven closer to home.

The rest headed off north towards Pattanakarn. At the khlong, Jurgen Handcream ran a long way down the wrong side. Was it a false trail? Boob was seen running in the wrong direction claiming there were no marks while the green chalk arrows were clearly visible. He ended up going all the way down Onnut to Srinakarin where he was truly miles off paper.

Soon we were into the pre-promised green bit where there was some soft surface and shiggy. At the water crossing, to avoid five feet of ankle deep wetness. Tinker and Brenda, led by Todd, backtracked 30 meters and bush wacked their way across a "big hairy mound" of vegetation back onto paper, avoiding the "wet patch".

Somewhere on trail Horny Viking lost his fanny pack with a much valued phone and wallet inside. He went looking for it and was lucky enough to find it. In a state of shock at this close call, he followed Boob's lead and went off paper, beelining it back to the restaurant.

At the pre-circle drinks and snacks, Amy was there with Pussy Virus's dogs Sniff and Snoop. I wonder where was Tom? Good snacks too, as usual on a Monday Hash.

There were many Returners for this holiday Monday run including Neil HAGS and his wife Deep Shag. Fun fact: HAGS Hash name is an acronym, which is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word. HAGS has suffered from all of the following ailments; Herpes, Aids, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis, and hence his appropriately capitalized Hash name.

Another HAGS fun fact: Anagrams are a form of wordplay in which the letters of a word or phrase are rearranged to create a new word or phrase. Years ago, BMH3 member Max Ringworm created anagrams for all the active BH3 members. He always regretted Neil was not named Nigel by his mother to complete the anagram without the apostrophe.

We had quite a special Visitor on this run, Amanda O who was crowned Miss Universe Thailand in 2020. Her parents Canadian father from Nova Scotia Hot Pants and Thai mother Double Ender have resided in Phuket since 1986. They came to run BMH3 as guests of the hare, who Hashed with them all when he too lived on Phuket. Amanda is currently a Thai TV and commercial actress, an upscale version of Matt Ryder. And she has 1.9 million followers on Instagram. Look her up!

The circle was called by JM Checkless where hares, visitors and returners were awarded down downs. And New Boot David Bartholomew finally joined after being a sporadic visitor over (at least) the past 25 years.

Tinker handled RA duties and Prick of the Week was unanimously awarded to Brenda for her description of the trail as "a wet patch, with a big hairy mound and a cherry on top".

Dinner at the familiar Krua Rim Mongers (renamed in honor of Steve Rosse) was well attended and we enjoyed a good meal with plenty of beer, wine and spirits. On on!
