Mudguard's Urban Masterpiece

Where to start? Start at the beginning and don't stop until you get to the end.

Hare; Mudguard, informed the trail was on chalk, paper and flour - a good selection, and so off went the pack over the first footbridge to the first check. Hazukashi carried on down Pahonyothin Road, whilst Patpom checked another direction. As the FRB's disappeared into the distance, the gathering pack got restless and returned back, only to be told by the hare to 'check it out'. Curiouser and Curiouser.

Was that Incomplete Erection on the distant footbridge waving frantically. The traffic noise muffled any calls of on-on. Flour was found halfway up the footbridge steps. There is a lesson here. The reason they are called lessons because they lesson from day to day. Over the footbridge we entered into grey concrete alleys leading to a rather murky industrial klong. With long run stretches the pack spaced out. Imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.

Finally we found the fork in the trail. Runners off left, walkers to the right. The runners break checks. Walkers Splatt and Licence to Chill found a check on the walkers trail. Checking 100m in three directions the trail could not be found. Then in wandered Spinning Dwarf. Not all who wander are lost. Spinning Dwarf headed off down a rabbit hole and after 300m called on-on. The last walkers got back to the street resturant at 18.30 and Hazukashi brought up the rear arriving at 18.45.

We gathered on the footpath or on the road outside the resturant enjoying light snacks and a cold beverage. Most everyone's made it here. GM Nibbles called the circle. General consensus was a good city run as city runs go. The first check was somewhat daunting. Two visitors were welcomed, coming from the UK. Only then to be called back into the circle for PofTW. 'Cheshire' had explained in too much detail about her daughter. The other visitor was a perfect Robin Williams lookalike. Splat was called in for a Brigitte Bardot lookalike and Mudguard called just for being the hare. PofTW went to Cheshire. She drank the whole tankard !!!

The Je Liep Seafood restaurant offered indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone's first visit to Thailand is the experience of street food. Street food on a busy Pahonyothin Road is somewhat dubious. Street food in the Phrom phong district with the BYD cars gliding by, and the occasional Ferrari is more realistic. But the days of enjoying street food and a elephant wandering by are gone. Everything's got a moral, if only you can find it.
