Location: Bang Khae, Suk San Village

This week’s run was from Happy Village courtesy of that fine Gentleman Ambrose but failed to inspire but a few diehards - and me because my office is just up the road.

Start time passed and only 2 of us were on on - and a couple of checks were broken before Drunken and then Maverick caught-up. New boot, Leg Iron was in the frame too. Faulty had started on time and that sorry collection of humanity were all I saw on the whole run.

And a splendid run it was too. Just the right length, lots of soft that McSwirlcy and Bruised Willy would prefer and enough hard that any self respecting Harriette would have enjoyed – if there had been any, which there weren’t. Welcome to Monday all male hash again.

Back on paper and there were lots though locals had disturbed some of it on an otherwise perfect trail. Ambrose said there were 7 checks but I counted only 5. There were an assorted collection of Klong bridges of various difficulty to negotiate - and mine was not a fault free round with one refusal. Greg doing his usual solo claims he was down on hands and knees to negotiate two difficult wobbly bridges. I shall practice this at home as I understand he does.

No No ran the circle, Greg did RA and Maverick got POW for abuse of a monk in his determination to jump the queue and secure a taxi at WongWian Yai. Bad traffic and a 2 hour journey for some, future Hares please note when selecting a location.

Today there were only 11 or perhaps 12 if you count guest appearance of Compo from ‘Last of the Summer Wine.’ This is not a good turn-out considering the amount of effort required in setting a good hash run. Not forgetting the draw of Happy Village and its Happy people and delightful surrounding rural areas. I wonder why the so unpopular city runs get 30 or 40 attending while the very popular green areas so few?

The Hare claimed 6 recy’s even though he has lain almost (but not quite he said) similar runs in this area. Nasty No No probed further by asking if he could remember on what day he had actually laid the paper.
