Hare:- Drinks Like a Girl

Another sunny day in Bangkok with endless blue skies. The hare gave misdirections for the trail and off went the pack through the Windy condo gates. Some Hashers turned right, Dr. Donna who had been listening suggest left. The Nigerian (FRB) called on-on and down to the first check. Turning right, the pack followed, right into a movie set. Rumours had it Brad Pitt was back looking for the Zen garden. The pack gather, all false trails so back to the check and on through to some delightful Soi's with its intermingled exclusive resturants. The pack held together out on to Sukhumvit Road, and up over the pedestrian bridge down Soi 18. A Soi lined with upmarket massage parlours; 'Welcome'......thank you. Back up Soi 20 past 'Chesa Swiss Cuisine' and Bottega Del Vini Italian, then back down Soi 22, and it's low market massage parlours 'Come inside'......thank you.

By now a long walk down Soi 22, Count Drunkular (FRB) was long gone. On-on past the Admiral Suites an old expat haunt and on over to Soi 16, over to Ratchadaphisek Road, and on over the pedestrian bridge. Now some say they ran around Queen Sirikit Park, but the now segregated pack made its way to Asok junction, the trail now leading to the infamous Soi Cowboy....what next. Was I dreaming, 'Alice in Wonderland', or 1984 Orwellion oppression. 'Dejavu', could it be, a beer stop in 'Tilac' bar...No..so sad. (Not PC?) Surely the Irish mafia would have done their double plus 'happy hour' at 18.00hrs for the Hashers...but not to be. Carry on through to the on-in.

Checkless called the circle at 19.00hrs. Returners where called into the circle, namely the hare (and pseudo hare), Virginia Slim, Hayter Peacox...down-downs given. Visitors; Count Drunkular, Jennifer's friend and David...down-downs. Visitor John got a warm welcome and a down-down, saying he would be back.

Hashers were invited to comment on the run; Amy said a good run for sight seeing, especially the restaurants. Boob-a-lube commented there were too many cars for a city run (committee meeting called for).

RA Tinker called Count Drunkular into the circle for suggesting too many Hashers had taken a short cut and divided the pack. Spinning Dwarf was called, followed by Jennifer and friend who were given double down-downs for arriving late. Boob-a-lube handed over a 'key' that was found, Hayter Peacox who claimed the key was given a down-down for being careless. Virginia Slim who overstayed the pre-beer drink at Whisgars and only turned up for the circle got a down-down too.

Prick of the week was awarded to the hare for being a conscientious sweeper and doing the run herself!
