Ah, Monday in Bangkok. If you’ve ever attempted to walk—or, God forbid, run—through the madness of this city, you know that it’s like trying to navigate the treacherous terrain of Westeros… but with tuk-tuks instead of dragons and more sweat than you’d ever care to admit. The sidewalks are a battlefield, the air is thick with humidity (like a true summer in King's Landing), and let’s not even talk about the traffic — it’s a game of survival, and only the strongest (and most beer laden) will prevail.

But don’t worry, folks. Just like every Monday, the Harriette's are here to save the day. (can't Guys hare anymore!) This week, they’ve assembled a special squad of Game of Thrones heroes to help them navigate Bangkok's wild streets. Spoiler alert: It’s chaos. But glorious, hilarious chaos.

The Monday Afternoon Madness

It was 5.15 pm., and Bangkok’s streets were already buzzing with a frantic energy that could only be described as "do or die." Jon Snow was trying to run to the Hash but quickly realized that the city’s traffic was a far greater threat than any White Walker. His attempt at jogging through the streets was thwarted by an army of scooters that came out of nowhere, as if summoned by the gods themselves. (sounds like Boobs stopping traffic on Sukhumvit!)

Meanwhile, Arya Stark (always cums last) , with her fierce determination, was dodging tuk-tuks and stray dogs with the grace of a trained assassin — but it wasn’t enough. The heat was unbearable, and the promise of a refreshing cold beer from her favorite beer truck seemed as elusive as Winter itself.

And then there was Daenerys Targaryen, who — while very much ready to conquer the world — was locked in a fierce battle with dips and snacks and Hashers who refused to part with the last mango sticky rice. There could only be one queen in this alleyway, and today, it wasn’t her.

Just when all hope seemed lost, in walked the Harriette's — our trusty team of brave warriors who always know how to save the day. And in this case, they did so with just a touch of Westeros flair.

First, there was Tyrion Lannister, who decided the only way to survive Bangkok’s chaotic traffic was to negotiate with every tuk-tuk driver he saw. "I have a gold coin, and I know how to use it," he said, offering his charm and wit to secure an air-conditioned ride. Unfortunately, the tuk-tuk driver thought Tyrion was offering a bribe for something else entirely, so they moved on.

Next, Sansa Stark, with her impeccable sense of direction (and knowing where to get the best local noodles), led the crew through the back alleys of Bangkok, expertly avoiding all the traffic jams and crowded sidewalks. She may have spent most of her time in Winterfell, but when it comes to navigating a big city, Sansa knows how to get from point A to point B in one piece.

But the real hero? Cersei Lannister. Oh yes, you read that right. Cersei, with her fierce attitude, took matters into her own hands, elbowing her way through the crowds with a scowl that could melt steel. When a group of tourists tried to block her path for a selfie, she simply glared and said, "Do you know who I am?" The tourists scattered. Crisis averted.

As the Harriette's made their way through the steamy streets of Bangkok, each one contributed in their own unique way — whether it was Daenerys taking the lead by "commanding" the traffic (to no avail), or Jon Snow accidentally leading a group of stray dogs in the wrong direction (oops), the team made it to their destination in one piece.

And yes, by the time they arrived at the restaurant for the well-deserved beers, they were all drenched in sweat. But they had conquered Bangkok, and that’s all that mattered. Even if it meant a few awkward encounters with street food vendors and narrowly avoiding a tuk-tuk crash that could’ve left them in a heap in the middle of the road.

As they sat down, sipping their drinks, Tyrion raised his cup. "To surviving Mondays, in whatever world we find ourselves in."

Sansa smirked. "And to the heat. Because that’s the real enemy."

On on. Thx to our new Scribe (Chat GTP)
