A good crowd gathered – returners spotted include the wing economist Barbie (it’s not my fault the ponzi scheme failed! Phil Gramm assured me this would not happen!) and the infamous failed banker Raincoat (on the lam again no doubt? memories of 1997?) It was a birthday run for the hare and his lady – 4 by 2 and It. It turned out to be a very good one. The backtrackers were passed two or three times by the FRBs, so his checks worked. Nice fresh air, no shiggy smells. Tastes Great however found places to go knee deep, most unpleasant. I doubt Lying King celebrated International Women’s Day by cleaning his shoes for him.
We started off over the bridge and then under it and down along a klong path, over the bridge. As we passed Thai children described the farangs they had seen as “fat”. A couple of good turn around checks kept everyone pretty much together. Man Boobs on the horn could be heard at several places. I was walking with Coconut Kernel- a newly transplanted hasher from KL. He was bemoaning the absence of hills. I told him to get user to it, if you are in Bangkok. . At his age he should be looking forward to no hills.
We eventually came to the intersection used in every run from this territory. At this point we met the out trail, but as there was no ON IN, Dunkin’ Donut didn’t think it was correct and headed down the directon that was not the out trail and found paper. In a few minutes we were back to the bridge, over it and in for the beer. The re-hydrate snacks were watermelon. The last to arrive were Tinker and The Capt’n coming from the wrong direction of course. Re-hydration complete now – excellent bread, cheese and salami were served. This is better than we deserve. THANKS 4 X 2!!! Happy birthday and thanks for the treat.
GM Bog was in no hurry to call the circle as the unexpected very high turnouts of the last few runs drained the keg rather quickly. A good circle – the hares 4 by 2 and It had the usual down down for a very good run. Returners including as I said Barbie , Raincoat, and if I can remember the other(s) I’ll fill them in later. Amusing down downs were handed out. Our virgin hasher – can’t remember his name (Was it mentioned?) and can’t forget his shirt (a collection of circular targets with a big M on the back) – who was here for the beer and not the exercise. He tried to explain that a friend wore a shirt like this when he died in the Bali nightclub bombing a few years. Joost, of course, could not resist an inappropriate comment. Later the same bloke won POTW and had no problem doing probably doing his eighteenth down down of the evening………
An excellent On On On followed at the adjacent restaurant. Excellent evening thanks Noah and It.
